Sidnee Lusón continues his legacy with the release of a new single, The Last Dance, a tune whose lyric content lifts directly from The Declaration of Independence. It states that in the final analysis, the people, not the government, will decide if that government still promotes the values most sacred to them. The Declaration of Independence presents a quandary. It cautions us not to casually consider change simply due to the prevailing political interests of a select few. At the same time, it speaks to the fall of a system that may no longer serve the people’s interests.
The Last Dance asks the question of a promise made so long ago… ‘cause I read it in the declaration, an independent proclamation said all men are created equal not by the rule of man.
